The Laboratory has developed laser methods for micro- and nanostructuring of surfaces of different materials. Nanohardness of materials that have undergone local laser treatment is studied. Wave fronts formed by diffraction and refraction of optical elements are measured.
The laboratory has obtained the following results:
- methods of recording periodic diffraction structures on a photoresist on an impulse laser with the wave length 355 nm;
- conditions for the formation of laser-induced quasi periodic structures on the surface of metals;
- comparative measurements of nanohardness and reinforcement module of hybrid organic-nonorganic and organic photopolymers have been made for the first time;
- it has been demonstrated that Hybrimer-42 photopolymer developed at the Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry (SB RAS) has mechanical characteristics similar to those of the polymers produced on an industrial scale abroad;
- a comparative study of thermo optical properties of foreign- and Russian-made photopolymers has been conducted.
The laboratory is a member of the University’s Analytical and Technological Innovation Center for High Technologies and New Materials.
