Development of new software methods and algorithms for modeling the flow of multiphase fluids to further optimize hydrocarbon production processes.
Student Skill Attainment
Students will gain skills in the development and implementation of mathematical modeling technologies for oil and gas field development systems. They will learn how to create mathematical models based on physical principles and machine learning methods to describe processes and solve inverse problems related to creating a simulator of multicomponent fluids PVT-properties. They will also learn how to solve inverse problems determining reservoir characteristics during hydrodynamic testing of wells based on multiphase filtration mathematical models. This involves taking into account the complex structure of the development system, including those with multilateral wells and multiple hydraulic fracturing.
