Novosibirsk State University hosted a meeting between the University’s leadership and Roshadi Khoirul, the Attaché for Education and Culture at the Embassy of Indonesia in Moscow. The two sides discussed potential areas for cooperation. These include launching joint educational programs in the natural sciences, establishing a preparatory department in partnership with an Indonesian university, and the opening of an Indonesian cultural and educational center at NSU.
Currently, only a small number of Indonesian students are enrolled at NSU and no more than 20 study in all Novosibirsk institutions of higher education. Indonesian students here tend to focus on mathematics, medicine, and the natural sciences. Expanding inter-university cooperation is expected to significantly increase the number of Indonesian students at NSU and throughout the region.
