15 NSU Research Groups Win State Grants

The Russian Science Foundation announced the results of their 2022 project competition for small scientific groups. 2,017 projects were selected, including 15 projects by scientists from Novosibirsk State University. Teams of 2 to 4 people will receive grant support of up to 1.5 million rubles annually for research in 2023-2024. This research will not only be conducted by experienced scientists, but by young graduate and undergraduate students at NSU. 

Winning projects represent a range of disciplines. Mathematicians will study the dynamic systems of mathematical biology, physicists will explore the development of low-pressure projection chambers for experiments on low-energy proton and ion beams and a new type of oncology therapy, geologists will search for new dynamically disordered phases of borates and carbonates, sociologists will study Russians non-financial wealth, etc.
