May 12: Students at the NSU Institute of Intelligent Robotics presented five innovative projects to IT industry experts. Two of the projects were awarded certificates for mentoring from the Novosibirsk Regional Innovation Fund.
May 17: Ekaterina Sateeva, a fourth-year student in the Linguistics program at the Humanities Institute, took second place in the All-Russian qualifying rounds of the “Chinese Language is a Bridge” World Competition. She was invited to represent Russia at the Competition finals in China.
May 19: Alexander Batanov, a student at the NSU Higher College of Informatics, became a master of cheerleading sports. He was among the first in Novosibirsk Oblast to receive the title.
May 20: The NSU IT Department team of Anton Mokrousov, Artem Plyusnin, and Sofya Lylova took 3rd place at the XXVI Open Ural Championship in Sports Programming.
May 20: NSU’s comedy team "Kimono" took 3rd place in the third quarter final of the “Comedy-Siberia” league. The team also won the Best Actor category.
May 21: The scientific work of NSU students and scientists was recognized at the "Diamond Youth Medical Forum" 2023 conference in St. Petersburg.
Ksenia Pronyaeva, a student at the NSU V. Zelman Institute of Medicine and Psychology, took 1st place in the "Cardiology: Non-Coronary Diseases" section and won the Forum’s overall scientific papers competition. Sofya Shcherbakova, a student at the NSU Institute of Mathematics and Mathematics, took 2nd place in the "Student Scientific Society" section. In the "Nuclear Medicine: Oncology and Beyond" section, Yuliya Taskaeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences and Senior Researcher at the NSU Physics Department Laboratory of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy, took 1st place and received a special prize in the "Innovative Idea" competition. Her colleague Anna Kasatova took 3rd place in the same section.
May 25: 76 NSU students were awarded diplomas at the All-Russian Student Olympiad “I Am a Professional”. 14 of them received gold, silver, and bronze medals. The Olympiad winners, prize-winners, and medalists will receive additional career opportunities from partner companies, cash prizes up to 300 thousand rubles, and benefits for admission to Master's, Postgraduate, and Residency Programs.
May 27: NSU students won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places at the 2023 individual Novosibirsk Universities Student Programming Championship. First place went to Sofya Lylova, second place was won by Artem Plyusnin, and third place went to Matvey Goncharov and Sergey Vladimirov.
