The SuperJob portal and the Roscosmos State Corporation have published their latest ranking of Russian universities based on salaries for IT specialists who graduated between 2020 and 2025. The ranking is based on labor market analysis, graduate demand, and the reputation of educational programs in information technology. NSU is traditionally among the top ten and this year moved up from 7th to 6th place.
Key factors that influenced NSU's improved ranking include updating its curricula to meet industry demand, expanding practice-oriented courses and laboratories, active collaboration with IT companies, and an increase in the number of applied projects and internships for students. Career support and programs offered by the NSU Career Development Center to enhance students' competitiveness in the labor market also played a significant role.
Interest in IT specialties has been very high in recent years. In the 2025 admissions campaign, Computer Science and Engineering ranked first for growth in the number of applications. In the current admissions campaign, that began on June 20, IT is among the top five most in-demand programs.
