Summer School on Cryptography 2024 has successfully started!
Summer School “Cryptography and Information Security” is a traditional event organized by the Cryptographic Center (Novosibirsk) and the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok. This year the Summer School is organized in collaboration with the Southern Federal University and at its base in the city of Taganrog.
The city is known not only as the birthplace of A.P. Chekhov and F.G. Ranevskaya, but also as the first Russian port on the Sea of Azov founded by Peter I. Taganrog received its name in honor of Cape Taganiy Rog (from Tatar - “high cape”), on which the fortress was previously located. It is in this historical part of the city that the Summer School takes place.
From July 1 to 15, 70 students and teachers from Novosibirsk, Taganrog, Rostov-on-Don, Tomsk, Sevastopol, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Stavropol and other cities will work together on topical issues of modern cryptography. Lectures and project work are already in full swing.
School participants will receive 30 specialized lectures and teamwork in 13 projects related to solving educational and research problems in the field of cryptography and information security. One of the most important events of the school is a round table on modern problems of cryptography. Students will also enjoy walks around Taganrog, sports activities, a friendly volleyball match and the main event of the school - the final conference on the results of their work with the publication of abstracts.
The summer school-conference is held by the Cryptographic Center (Novosibirsk) with the support of the International Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok and the Southern Federal University.
