Mathematical center in Akademgorodok conducts educational activities at all levels of education.
As part of the development of
undergraduate education, with the support of the Center, a number of pilot projects were launched from 2019 to 2021:
- Fundamental mathematics research group (read more in Russian);
- Engineering school: Artificial Intelligence and Applied Engineering (on the infrastructure side, the project is also supported by the project 5-100 directed at improving competitiveness of Russian higher education institutions on the global market, read more in Russian);
- System programming (read more in Russian);
- Mathematical methods and information technologies in mechanics(read more in Russian)
From 2019 to 2024, as part of the center's activities, the profiles and modules for training
masters in the areas of "Mathematics", "Mathematics and Computer Science" were updated. In 2023, the profile for training masters in "Applied Machine Learning and Big Data" was developed and launched.
The Center also conducts various
short-term educational and scientific intensives, educational and popular science events, including:
- A satellite event of the International Forum of Technological Development TECHNOPROM "Big Mathematical Workshop", implemented since 2019;
- Joint with the SSC of NSU Winter School of Young Mathematicians "Lobachevsky";
- Summer school for young programmers;
- Joint student camp with Yandex Education on NLP (Natural Language Processing);
- A popular science event for mathematics teachers of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences, implemented since 2022;
- Festival "This is Mathematics";
- Intensive course for preparation for the second part of the Unified State Exam in specialized mathematics – Task №17 turnkey USE.
Every year since 2019,
additional education programs for children and adults have been created and implemented:
- A joint program with the SSC of NSU to improve the qualifications of teachers and lecturers of mathematics and related disciplines, a program to train mentors for project and research activities;;
- Online courses in fundamental and applied mathematics, computer science and engineering (including joint courses with the SSC of NSU).;
