From December 4 to 8, 2023, the VII International Scientific Conference “Nonlocal boundary value problems and related problems of mathematical biology, computer science and physics” was held in Nalchik. The conference has been held regularly since 1996 and is dedicated to current problems of modern analysis, the theory of differential equations, fractional calculus, mathematical modeling and various applications. In 2023, the organizers of the conference were: Institute of Applied Mathematics and Automation of the Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Nalchik, Russia), Adyghe (Circassian) International Academy of Sciences, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after. HM. Berbekova (Nalchik, Russia), Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok (Novosibirsk, Russia), Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan), Institute of Mathematics named after. IN AND. Romanovsky Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan), Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan). This conference is associated with the scientific school created by A.M. Nakhushev, whose representatives work in many scientific and educational centers of Russia, near and far abroad countries. This year the conference was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Adam Maremovich Nakhushev.
The scientific program included plenary and sectional reports. The conference was held in person. More than 100 scientists from 4 countries (Russia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Uzbekistan), including from 25 cities of Russia, took part in the conference. Young scientists made up almost half of the total number of participants. The presented reports were devoted to current problems and the current state of research in the field of boundary value problems for differential equations, related problems of function theory and functional analysis, fractional calculus and its applications, mathematical modeling of physical, biological and socio-economic processes, theoretical and applied computer science. The target audience of the event is leading experts in the field of mathematics, physics and biologists, young scientists, graduate and senior students.
The conference contributed to the development of international scientific cooperation, the establishment of new scientific contacts and the attraction of young scientists to relevant areas of science. Young participants had the opportunity to listen to reports from leading experts, as well as present their results.
Participants of the research project “Differential equations and dynamical systems” of the Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok took part in organizing the conference and made presentations.
