Mikhail Fedoruk, NSU Rector, commented on the honor,
This award is the result of the shared efforts by our scientists and students. Novosibirsk State University has traditionally relied on the "education through research" model. 90% of the teachers in the natural sciences are scientists who also work at Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences institutes. That is why our students, even those in the BA program, have access to working on research projects and professional scientific equipment, and communicate with scientists who hold leading positions in their fields,
Svetlana Schneider, Deputy Director of the NSU Humanities Institute’s "New Archeology" Scientific and Educational Center and Senior Researcher at the SB RAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, was recognized as one of the most highly cited scientists and won the "Young Scientist" Research Excellence Award Russia – 2021.
