NSU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Nanchang University

On June 7, a ceremony for the signing of a cooperation agreement with Nanchang University was held at Novosibirsk State University. On the Russian side, the ceremony was represented by NSU Rector Mikhail Fedoruk and Head of the Education Export Department Yevgeny Sagaydak. On the Chinese side, the agreement was signed by the President of Nanchang University, Professor Zhou Zhuangbing, and Vice-Rector Deng Xiaohua. The purpose of the agreement is to provide joint training for highly qualified specialists in the fields of mechatronics and robotics, chemistry, and computer science.

Mikhail Fedoruk talked about the agreement in his welcoming address,

By developing bilateral relations, exchanges and cooperation, our universities, as strategic partners, will meet the challenges of a modern research university to train world-class personnel for science, education, and the high-tech industry by providing a variety of educational opportunities for young people. I hope that in the 2022-2023 academic year we will be able to admit students to the program. I want to thank my colleagues who took an active part in the development of the program and are ready to develop it in the future.

Currently, the parties are discussing opportunities for the exchange of experience in such promising areas as mechatronics and robotics, chemistry, computer science, and computer technology. This step will contribute to the development of cooperation between Russia and China in the fields of culture, education, science, and technology.

Zhou Zhuangbing spoke about the joint program,

NSU is a modern university that combines teaching and research in the basic disciplines of mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology as well as the engineering and technological disciplines of computer science, engineering, and the oil business. This is one of the key conditions for establishing a partnership for the development of education. I hope to work together to create a high-level creative and long-term program that will benefit teachers and students and their scientific research, cultural and educational exchanges.
