The key characteristic of research internships at NSU are their focus on fundamental science. This year, in addition to traditional subjects in the fields of biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, archeology, and economics, there were internships in metalinguistics.
Michelle Debrenne, Head of " Scientific Internships for Foreign Students ", described the Program,
Our university is closely integrated with Akademgorodok’s scientific centers. Scientists combine teaching at NSU with working at the 35 SB RAS research institutes. That is how our internships differ from others at Russian universities, the laboratories at the other “Top 5- 100 Universities” are closed for the summer.
This year the University is providing 60 full scholarship places for students at partner universities. Of these, 20 places went to scientific programming. A total of 49 students from France and 2 from Germany took part in the Summer Internship Program.
The next Internship Program begins in October. Program applications can be submitted from October 1 to March 1.
