Registration Date for International Scientific Student Conference 2018 Announced

Registration for participation in the International Scientific Student Conference-2018 (ISSC) will begin on January 15, 2018. This year the Conference will be held at the end of April and speakers will have the opportunity to present their work in a new format.

ISSC is the largest conference in Siberia for talented and ambitious students, graduate students, young scientists and schoolchildren. The annual Conference consists of 35 sections and 120 subsections where 2000 full-time participants present reports. There is a separate «school» section where high school students will present their reports and engineering designs. In 2018, ISSC will take place April 22 to 27.

In addition to the scientific aspects of the conference, special events have been planned throughout the week to broaden the participants horizons and help them enjoy their time in this scientific town. These activities include Science Film Days, PetroQuiz and «What? Where? When?» intellectual games, lectures and seminars from the «Future Professional» project, and a business game based on how to commercialize scientific research. Anyone interested is also invited to take part in the traditional excursions to scientific institutes of the Siberian Branch of the RAS.

The Conference framework will also include a chance to experience Akademgorodok’s legendary «Interweek» and to visit the famous Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater and the largest water park in Siberia. Participant registration and submission of abstracts will begin on January 15 and will end in late February.
