May 27 to June 17 NSU hosted the Interussia Summer Engineering School for young foreign specialists in "Artificial Intelligence and Medicine", "Information Technology and Photonics", and "Information Technology in the Urban Environment (Smart City)". The event was organized with the support of the Gorchakov Fund, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and NSU. 16 students from Nigeria, Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, India, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, the UAE, and Tanzania participated in the School.
On the last day, participants presented their projects. The closing ceremony was attended by NSU Rector Mikhail Fedoruk, Dean of the NSU Mechanics and Mathematics Department Igor Marchuk, curators of the School’s three disciplines, and a representative of the Gorchakov Foundation. Students were awarded Certificates of Completion of the Summer Engineering School 2024.
