NSU Dormitories Increase Measures to Prevent Spread of Coronavirus Infection

In accordance with the order of the Russian Federation Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Novosibirsk State University is strengthening measures in the dormitories to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection.  In response, the NSU Rector has ordered all University dormitory leisure and other public events be suspended temporarily, as well as increased control over sanitary cleaning standards and entrance to the buildings. Students can decide for themselves whether they want to stay in the dormitories or return to their homes.

On March 19, 2020 the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation issued an order restricting access to the dormitories to residents only. If someone is identified as being sick, they will be temporarily relocated based on a doctor’s recommendation. You can read this order, No. 453 “On the Operations of Dormitories, Hotels, Sanatoriums, Boarding houses, Rest Homes, and Other Places of Lodging by Organizations Subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, in Relation to Conditions to Prevent the Spread of New Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19 ) on the Territory of the Russian Federation” at this link.
