II International Russia-Africa Cooperation Forum: "Education, Business, Culture 2025"

This year the II International Russia-Africa Cooperation Forum "Education, Business, Culture - 2025" will be held in conjunction with the XII International Forum "Technoprom-2025" in August. The event is organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy, Novosibirsk State University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, and the Consortium of Russian Universities for the Development of Cooperation with African Countries.

A large delegation fr om African countries plans to take part in the Forum including:

— Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation from the Republic of Mali, Republic of Chad, Republic of Guinea, Burkina Faso, Republic of Niger, Rwanda, Namibia, Angola, and Ghana;

— Ministers of Education from the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Guinea, and Burkina Faso;

— Burkina Faso Ministers of Industry, Digitalization, and Agriculture;

— Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger; — Rectors from the University of Abdou Moumouni and the University of Agadez (both in the Republic of Niger);

— Heads of the national oil companies in Burkina Faso and Niger;

— Mayor of Ouagadougou (the capital of Burkina Faso).

The first Russia-Africa Forum, that took place last year, was initiated by NSU and the Center for Public Diplomacy. One of the results was the creation of a Consortium of Russian Universities to develop cooperation with African countries. The following are current promising educational projects in African countries: 

— The Russian Teacher Abroad program wh ere students in the pilot international class at an African school study the Russian language. 

— A program for training foreign students to work in specialties under joint educational programs at African and Novosibirsk colleges. Those who successfully complete the training will be able to continue their studies at Novosibirsk universities. The pilot project includes colleges implementing training in the agricultural, technical, and natural science spheres.
