The "Presentation of Russian Universities in China" project included a number of events during the 2023-2024 academic year. 43 Russian universities and more than 3,500 Chinese schoolchildren took part in the project’s activities.
One of the most notable events was a traveling exhibition to Chinese cities in March 2024. Representatives of 16 Russian universities toured six Chinese cities: Beijing, Hebi, Xinyang, Xi'an, Yangling, and Chongqing. More than 6,000 schoolchildren visited the exhibition and learned about Russian universities and more than 100 representatives of Chinese educational organizations discussed possible areas of cooperation with Russian universities.
The project was organized by the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing (Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in China), Association of Russian and Chinese Pre-University Educational Institutions, Representative Offices of Novosibirsk Region Universities, and the Udmurt Republic in China, Novosibirsk State University, M.T. Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University, and the Novosibirsk Interuniversity Center for International Education “NICE”.
Leading universities in the Novosibirsk Region including NSU, NSPU, SibSUTI, and NSUEM, were active participants in the online presentations. The project will continue in China next year and similar events will be organized in Peru, Brazil, India, and West African countries.
