On March 26, NSU hosted a meeting for international recruiting companies and leading Novosibirsk universities on their new campus. The event was designed to identify new opportunities to attract students, enter unexplored international markets, and establish a presence there to increase interest in studying at NSU and other Russian universities. Eleven recruiting companies participated with six from Russia, Iran, Turkey, and India attending in person and five online from Turkmenistan, India, Bangladesh, and Nigeria.
Bogdan Voronovsky, Director General of the Eastern European Universities Association (EEUA), participated in the event as an expert. Voronovsky emphasized that the meeting was an excellent example of constructive dialogue between universities and recruiting companies, "Such initiatives allow universities to better understand the needs of external markets, build long-term partnerships with agents, increase the number of international students, and collectively promote their region."
Evgeny Sagaydak, Head of the Education Export Department, spoke about the goals and results of the meeting,
We were able not only to learn about successful international practices, but to agree on approaches and tools for working with international applicants to universities in the Novosibirsk Region. Participants received up-to-date information from recruiting agency representatives on new methods of student recruitment and were introduced to collaborative models applicable in the current environment. This kind of cooperation and ongoing dialogue contributes to the growth of international student numbers and the strengthening of Russian education's position abroad.
