“Badminton is just grounds to meet, communicate and compete, of course,” says Askar Gareev, the CEO of Tatarstan’s Badminton Federation. “Taking into account context-specific factors, it is not a secret that student sports now involve quite a number of professional players to win some awards for universities. However, we have held a real feast for students, faculty and amateur badminton, which we can be proud of!”

The first friendly game devoted to the start of the All-Russian University Badminton Championship was held in May between MSU and KFU with KFU team outplaying their opponents.

Next game is scheduled for 25 October, when KFU plays against SPbU. Final games of the tournament are to be held in November and will be included into the celebration of KFU’s 210 anniversary.

Congratulations to the NSU team, keep up the good work!
