Sergei Belousov, General Director of the Parallels Company, has been elected the Chair of the Supervisory Council of NSU.
The elections were held in Moscow, on 27 June, at the first meeting of the Council.
This new supervisory authority, which was approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF, has 11 members, all of whom are power officials and representatives of scientific and educational institutions as well as big businesses.
Members of the NSU Supervisory Council are:
Igor Agamirzyan, General Director of JSC "Russian Venture Company"
Alexander Aseev, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Sergei Belousov, General Director of the Parallels Company
Dmitry Verkhovod, General Director of OJSC “Tekhnopark of Novosibirsk Academgorodok”
Valentin Parmon, Director of Boreskov Institute of Catalysis (SB RAS), a member of the Skolkovo Foundation Scientific Advisory Council
Alexander Povalko, RF Deputy Minister for Education and Science
Alexey Ponomarev, Vice President of Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, responsible for the government programs and cooperation with industry
Sergey Salikhov, Director of Department for Science and technology at the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF
Oleg Fomichev, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the RF
Vladimir Shalaev, Scientific Director of Nanophotonics at Birck Nanotechnology Center, Purdue University
Mikhail Epov, Director of Trofimuk Institute of Oil and Gas Geology and Geophysics (SB RAS)
The Supervisory Council is a new body for strategic management of the university and is mandatory according to the program “Top-100” aimed at increasing the university competitiveness. The Council is to solve a number of problems including aid in implementing the development plans, influence on the management activities evaluation, recommendations on strategic issues, adoption of the financial and operating activities draft plan, etc. Moreover, while affirming the candidacy of the university Rector, the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF is to take into account the Council’s opinion.
The term of office of the Supervisory Council is 5 years.
