Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin Participates in NSU Campus Opening

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, and Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov attended the official opening of the new NSU campus first-stage facilities. The ceremony celebrated the new NSU SESC educational building and recreation center, as well as two NSU dormitories with 690 beds. After inspecting the facilities, Mishustin met with young scientists, teachers, and other NSU SESC employees.

The construction of the NSU campus involves several stages. The first stage included the NSU SESC educational and leisure buildings which were a large-scale project to provide school infrastructure according to modern international standards. The area of ​​the educational building is 11,500.5 sq. m, 625 students will study there. The three-story recreation center accommodates 900 people, its area is 8549 sq. m and it is connected to the educational building by an underground heated passage. The two buildings form a single educational structure. Classes began there on September 1, 2024.
