2nd Russian University according to Webometrics

NSU has moved up to the 486 position in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities thus becoming the second Russian university in this ranking.

The results of the ranking published in the middle of the year (July 2014 edition) show that NSU has improved its indicator by 264 positions due to the increased citation index of the university site and the number of external references to the university domain. It allowed NSU to draw ahead of Saint Petersburg State University, which occupies the 492 position. The leader among Russian universities is traditionally MSU, which changed its 113 position in January to 122 in July. The first lines in the ranking belong to the famous American universities – Harvard, MIT, Stanford, which traditionally have a strong lead.
