The RAEX Agency has published subject rankings in the “Three University Missions” group for the fourth time. The list includes the best 166 universities in 40 Russian regions. This year, rankings were prepared in 35 subject areas including mathematics, a wide range of natural science and engineering specialties, social and humanitarian fields. The rankings were formed based only on objective data; expert surveys were not used.
NSU is represented in 10 rankings, two more than in 2024. The new fields that received ratings were "Information Technology" and "Mechanical Engineering and Robotics". NSU took the highest positions in the fields of "Biology" and "Chemistry" ranking in the top 3 best universities. NSU Physics was ranked in 5th place and 6th place in "Mathematics". The University's positions in these four subject areas have not changed from last year.
The University has improved its positions in several fields. "Information Technology" was not rated last year and compared to 2023 when it was included, it rose 2 places landing in 17th place. "History and Archeology" rose by one position and entered the top 10 while "Sociology" increased 3 to take 11th place. For the first time this year, NSU was rated in "Mechanical Engineering and Robotics" in 11th place.
