NSU Provides Platform to Attract Foreign Applicants

Novosibirsk State University hosted a seminar for Russian universities international services, “Recruiting and Inter-university Cooperation: EXPERIENCE”. The event was organized by NSU and the Association of Eastern European University Association (EEUA).

Representatives of forty-five universities from different regions in Russia, from the European part to Yakutia, participated in the seminar. Bogdan Voronovsky, President of the Association, noted, “The meeting was fruitful, we discussed new approaches and mechanisms for attracting foreign students to study at universities in the Russian Federation and exchanged information on our experiences”.

NSU is happy to participate in organizing and conducting these experience exchange seminars because they help expand the range of foreign student recruitment tools. Evgeniy Sagaidak, one of the seminar presenters and Head of the NSU Education Export Department, emphasized, “We will implement some of our colleague’s ideas, this will help develop common approaches to promoting Novosibirsk universities abroad”.

There are currently 1,700 foreign students studying at NSU, not counting foreign programs for Russian language. The NSU development program plans to attract 3,000 foreign students by 2030.
