The ninth Moscow International "Three University Missions" Ranking was published ranking 2,581 universities fr om 165 countries. The final ranking table included 2,000 universities from 112 countries, including 156 universities from Russia. NSU ranked 238th globally, moving up 3 notches from last year, and retained its 6th place in Russia.
The ranking methodology includes assessments based on 16 indicators, which are grouped into three categories: Education (45%), Science (25%), and University and Society (30%). The "Education" and "Science" categories consist of four indicators, while the "university and society" category consists of eight indicators.
According to the Ranking, Russian universities improved their positions thanks to the third category, “University and Society." In particular, there was a significant increase in the "number of online courses" indicator. Russian universities also demonstrated competitiveness in two "education" indicators: "share of international students" and "number of student victories in international student Olympiads."
NSU Rector and RAS Academician Mikhail Fedoruk, explained,
At NSU, international activities are a key focus. Currently, the University enrolls 1,700 students from 60 countries, and we collaborate with 98 partner universities in 21 countries. We have significantly increased our collaboration with China, wh ere we currently have 14 partner universities and 20 dual degree programs.
