Call for Applications: InteRussia Fellowship in Information Technology

The InteRussia programme offers participants an opportunity to acquire new knowledge at one of Russia’s leading universities, attend specialised courses led by prominent experts, take part in specialized workshops, and exchange experience with colleagues from different countries. Throughout the fellowship, participants will collaborate on team-based projects, which will result in the preparation and presentation of an individual scientific research proposal.

The fellowship will take place from June 1 to June 27, 2026.

Location: Novosibirsk, Russia

Working languages: English.

Who can apply?

The fellowship is open to specialists in the field of information technology who meet the following requirements:

·         non-Russian citizenship;

·         residence outside the Russian Federation;

·         no academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or employers at the time of application (candidates must not be enrolled in Russian educational institutions or employed by Russian organisations);

·         age between 25 and 40;

·         proficiency in English (minimum B2 level). 

How to Apply?

To participate in the competitive selection process, applicants must:

1.      Register on the English-language version of the Gorchakov Fund website. If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder.

2.      Go to the “My Projects” section, click “Create Application,” sel ect the competition “InteRussia AI 2026”, choose the specialisation: either "Artificial intelligence in medicine" or "Artificial intelligence in an urban environment (smart city)", and confirm your choice.

3.      Complete all required sections of the application form.

4.      Attach your academic portfolio including links to research texts and projects.

5.      Submit the application by clicking the “Submit Application” button in the “Apply” section and wait until the status changes fr om “Preparing” to “Submitted.”

Fellowship Terms

The organizers provide:

  • travel from the participant’s place of residence to Novosibirsk and back;
  • accommodation in double rooms at a hotel;

·         a scholarship of 30,000 rubles for the duration of the programme. 

Participants cover the following expenses:

·         medical insurance;

·         visa application fee;

·         meals during the fellowship period.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 6, 11:59 p.m. (Moscow time).
