A Student at the Novosibirsk State University Higher School of Informatics won the International Web Programming Olympiad

First place and other prize winners were awarded for the regional round of the IV International Student Olympiad in Web Programming at the Higher College of Informatics NSU (HCI NSU). The first prize winner was a second-year student Dmitriy Demin.

The International Student Olympiad in Web Programming is organized by the 1C and 1C-Bitrix companies and is held in two rounds: regional and final. The Olympiad is designed for university students receiving their first higher education, as well as for students at vocational institutions. To complete the Olympiad tasks, participants needed to know the PHP programming language.

The regional round of the competition in Novosibirsk was conducted by Eurostudio together with the NSU Faculty of Information Technologies (FIT). The Olympiad took place at two venues: the NSU main building and at the HCI.

The jury evaluated the completeness and methodology for solving the problems, as well as the quality of the code.

X In the regional round, x first place was won by Dmitriy Demin, a second year student at HSI NSU who solved three tasks. In addition, Dmitry Demin, who was among 49 students from different cities, made it to the final round of the Olympiad, which will be held on March 25 in Moscow.

Second place in the regional round was won by Natalia Shashok, a second year student at FIT NSU, and Nikolai Eckert, a first-year student at the HSI NSU. The first place and other prize-winners received valuable prizes from the Eurostudio company.

The participants in the regional round of the Olympiad had an opportunity for an internship at Eurostudio. Also, participants in the full-time round and winners of the extramural round will be able to take the basic developer level exam X in «1C-Bitrix» for free.
