Scientific and practical conference "Actual issues of studying history, international relations and cultures of the East"

The Oriental Studies Department of the Institute for the Humanities of Novosibirsk State University is proud to announce the upcoming international scientific conference: “Current issues in the study of history, foreign relations and culture of Asian countries”, on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the Department of Oriental Studies of NSU and 60^th anniversary of NSU.

Conference topics include:

1) Modern and contemporary history of countries of the Near East and Far East.

2) Politic, economic and international relations of the East countries.

3) Conflicts and cooperation in the Asian region.

4) Religion and Society of the East.

5) Language and culture of the East.

6) Oriental studies as a science: questions of methodology and historiography.

7) History and culture of the East.

8) Modern aspects of East language teaching.

Preliminary Dates: 24-26 October, 2019.

Languages of the conference: English, Russian.

Application deadline:1^st of August, 2019.

Abstracts submission deadline: 1^st of October, 2019.
