All-Russian Youth History School and Conference II will be held at Novosibirsk State University

Novosibirsk State University, together with the Institute of History at the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, will hold the second All-Russian Youth Scientific School-Conference, "Current Challenges of Historical Research: Young scientists point of view" Starting in 2009, this event was initially conducted in a conference format.  In 2014, the format was adapted to include elements of a scientific school and in 2016, the first school-conference was held.  

Within the framework of the school-conference format this year, the following events are planned:

•  Interdisciplinary scientific seminar, "The role of Siberia and the Far East in ensuring the national security of Russia";
•  Breakout session on the following topics: historiography, source study, methodology of history, relations between government and society, socio-economic development, culture and public consciousness, historical demography.
•  A round table discussion on the topic: "The historical community and society: Communication problems?". 

Articles for the official conference publication must correspond to requirements described in the attachment and can be submitted by e-mail: istkonf@gmail.com.

To make a presentation at the conference without publishing a report, you must submit an abstract of your presentation in accordance with the requirements described in the attachment and submit by e-mail to the above address.

The scientific and technical selection of articles for the conference publication, that will be included in the Russian Index for Scientific Citations, requires that the author participate in the conference. Distance participation will only be considered for foreign researchers.

Participation is open to researchers up to age 35. Applications and materials for participation must be submitted by July 31, 2017.
