The III International Congress "New Technologies in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Perinatology and Reproductive Medicine" ended successfully in Novosibirsk.
The Congress was organized jointly by Novosibirsk State University and the "Professor Pasman Clinic" medical center with support fr om the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The event was conducted as part of the State "Healthcare Development" program.
During a four-day period, more than 180 reports were presented at Congress venues. These included presentations by experts from Europe and the United States. In 17 plenary sessions, 6 schools and two master classes, participants in the Congress shared not only their experience in surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, but also innovative developments that their colleagues abroad are working on today. Within the framework of the Congress, an interactive training was conducted on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other obstetrics emergencies.
Over 1,100 doctors from Omsk, Tomsk, Barnaul, Tyumen, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Yekaterinburg, Chita and Yakutsk, and Norilsk took part in the plenary sessions, schools, symposiums and master classes. Specialists from Yaroslavl, Kaliningrad, Moscow, St. Petersburg and the best Novosibirsk scientists shared their unique experience.
“This year, for the first time in accordance with the implementation of the 2017 concept for continuous medical education, all events at the Congress were accredited by the Coordinating Council for the Development of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education of the Russian Federation Ministry of Health. Anyone who took part in the Congress during the four-day period, could receive study credits. This Congress exceeded all the previous events in terms of the number of workshops, schools and interactive trainings offered. For the first time in the history of the International Congress, a competition was conducted for scientific and clinical work by young scientists. Overall, the Congress fully met my expectations concerning the brilliant content of the lectures presented by Russian and foreign stars in the field of obstetrics and gynecology,” reported Natalia Pasman, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the NSU Medical Faculty and Director of the Professor Pasman Clinic.
Traditionally, the NSU staff and the " Professor Pasman Clinic" make a significant contribution to the scientific program of the Congress by speaking at plenary sessions, schools and symposiums.
A distinctive feature of the III Congress was the competition for young scientists, in which 6th year students, clinical residents and interns at the NSU Institute of Medicine and Psychology. Presented the results of their clinical studies.
“This is the third time I have taken part in the Congress, but for the first time this year I was a speaker and co-presenter. Speaking at such a large-scale event is always a significant moment in the life of a young specialist. I was very impressed with the master classes, the rich lecture program and legal clinic. It is important that many reports demonstrated the application of modern advances in molecular biology and genetics in clinical practice. I hope to apply this new knowledge in practice soon," said Natalia Bukhtueva, a 2nd year resident at the NSU Institute of Medicine and Psychology.
Organizers noted the huge interest of participants in innovative methods for treatment, diagnosis and their results.
Sarafroz Erkinova, a 6th-year student at the NSU Institute of Medicine and Psychology, noted the following, “The Congress raised our educational level by introducing us to medical techniques that are currently in demand and data from scientific research that is based on practical experience. We were offered an extensive program wh ere experts acted as teachers and conducted unique master classes with real-time examinations of real patients and analysis of complex clinical cases."
