MCA announces short-term visiting fellowship program for international mathematical researchers

The Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok announces short-term visiting fellowship program for international mathematical researchers.

The program aims to broadening domestic and international cooperation between scientists and researchers in the field of mathematics, and also to promoting joint scientific projects, creating new and strengthening existing professional ties between scientists.

The contest will run through March 31, 2023 and the winners will be chosen based on a submission form, motivation letter and a CV. We invite teams of two researchers: a Visiting researcher and a Host researcher.

1. The Visiting researcher is meant to be a Russian or foreign researcher who has never previously been employed in scientific and / or educational organizations of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center. Visiting researcher must meet at least one of the following conditions:
• Hold citizenship other than the citizenship of the Russian Federation. Dual citizenship, tax residence or residence permit of a country other than the Russian Federation is acceptable.
• Have at least one article in scientific journal of the first or second quartiles, indexed in Scopus and / or Web of Science Core Collection, published in 2021–2023.
  
2. The Host researcher must be an employee of the Novosibirsk State University or Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS.

The Mathematical Center in Akademgorodok provides the winning Visiting researcher with the necessary conditions for work, and covers some expenses associated with the stay in Novosibirsk.

To apply for the contest, the Visiting and Host researchers make a joint submission, which consists of the following documents:

1. Submission form filled by the Visiting researcher in Russian or in English.

2. CV of the Visiting researcher indicating primary place of work, links to bibliographic databases, as well as a link to a personal page, if available.
3. Motivation letter from the Host researcher specifying why the visit of the Visiting researcher is important for him (and his research team).

The deadline for the document submission is March 31, 2023.

The winners will be announced on April 30, 2023.
