From November 14 to November 18, 2022, the “Maltsev Meeting” was held in Akademgorodok. The conference was prepared as a satellite of the International Congress of Mathematicians and was supposed to take place in the summer, but due to the transfer of the congress to the online format, it was held at the time that has become familiar over the past two decades, in November. The postponement and other factors did not prevent the gathering of more than 200 participants from the USA to Singapore, of which about 120 participated in person.
More than 15 years ago, the first remote presentation at the Maltsev Meeting seemed something unusual. After a completely remote conference in 2020, no one was surprised that more than half of the invited talks are done online. The number of full-time participants and the sufficiently filled conference hall of the Institute of Mathematics in the photographs indicate that the conference is not only reports, but also their discussion during the break, the exchange of plans and ideas after the meetings, and, possibly, reports at the next Meeting about new results, the appearance of which was facilitated by the communication at this conference. For the third decade now, the Maltsev Meeting have continued to be an important meeting place for leading algebraists and logicians from different countries, as well as for those who are just taking their first steps in science.
