This program is provided by the NSU Department of Economics MA Studies in Economics (Novosibirsk School of Economics – NSE). This program is designed for students who want to receive a rigorous graduate education in Economics in one of the best research centers in the World. The program has the same structure as other leading US and European MA programs: one year of core courses followed by a year of specialized study.

Master Dissertation

To complete the MEP «Quantitative Economics» a student also undertakes a substantial project under the supervision of a faculty member, and writes a Master dissertation thesis reporting the results. Such projects can be undertaken in any area covered by the Program, including micro- and macroeconomic analysis and modeling, investments, finance, and any other research area related to quantitative economics. The topic is to be approved by the faculty committee. Master dissertation thesis should contain an overview reflecting the student’s knowledge of the research area, as well as an independent research part with the student's own research results. Master's graduate work is a self-completed study which is devoted to the solution of scientific or practical problem.
